Past Chairman of the New Hampshire Association of Broadcasters and long-time member of the State Emergency Communications Committee. He serves as liaison between the New Hampshire Association of Broadcasters and the New Hampshire Department of Safety. In 2006 he and several members of New Hampshire law enforcement attended the National Amber Alert Conference presented by the Criminal Justice Division of Fox Valley Technical College in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He is one of the co-authors of the New Hampshire State Police protocols for issuing Amber Alerts that are still in use today. He is a current member of the New Hampshire State Police Amber Alert Committee. He is a former broadcast radio operations manager and chief operator and does narration and radio/TV audio for various clients both locally and nationwide.
Currently working as an independent contractor; his voice-over business (www.EricsoundS.com) does narration and radio/TV audio for various clients including New England Dragway, NHPBS-TV, Gatehouse Media, Stratham Tire, and WMUR-TV in New Hampshire as well as Maple Grove Raceway in Pennsylvania and KCRG-TV in Iowa. He is also currently working part-time for New Hampshire Public Radio as well as instructing at the Boston campus of the Connecticut School of Broadcasting.
Ericson resides on the Seacoast and his daughter; son-in-law and two granddaughters live in Southern Maine.
