(January 11, 2019) – Again this year, the New Hampshire Association of Broadcasters (NHAB) will make scholarships available for young people interested in a career in broadcasting.
Applicants must be permanent residents of New Hampshire and be enrolled in (or in the process of enrolling in) an accredited institution of higher learning for the fall 2019 semester. While the school does not need to be located in the Granite State, the recipient must be enrolled full time.
Typically NHAB awards several scholarships of $2,500. It also awards one annual Al Sprague Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $5,000 in memory of the longtime president of NHAB who died in 2008.
The selection process for scholarships will take into account such factors as financial need, academic merit, community service, extracurricular activities and work experience. Highest priority will be given to students with the most limited financial resources. Applications are reviewed and selected by member stations that have contributed financially to the NHAB Student Broadcaster Scholarship Program.
The deadline for entering is the close of business on Friday, April 5, 2019. Applications can be downloaded here.
