(August 19, 2016) – The FCC issued a notice reminding radio and TV broadcasters, as well as cable franchisees, about the deadlines for filing various forms on the new online EAS Test Reporting System. Form One must be filled out by August 26, 2016.
It also issued a revised EAS Operating Handbook in the appendix of the notice itself. This document can be downloaded here.
It appears that filling out the forms in the EAS Operating Handbook is voluntary, however a copy must be located at normal duty positions or EAS equipment locations when an operator is required to be on duty and be immediately available to staff responsible for administering EAS tests.
