The Granite Mikes are right around the corner and while we’re not rooting for the Red Sox this postseason we will celebrate the sports long history with broadcasting during the NHAB’s annual appreciation night.
The day kicks off from 2PM to 4:30PM where the NHAB is co-hosting the “Stronger Together” Drug Summit with the Partnership for a Drug Free New Hampshire. This panel discussion is aimed at news personnel from radio or television so they can understand the landscape of New Hampshire’s drug free/substance use disorder communities: who handles what, how the state is involved, and what is actually available for services and to whom. At 5:35 we open the doors to all NHAB members for the Granite Mikes cocktail reception and buffet dinner. Fenway Park organist Josh Kantor will be on hand to provide the atmosphere while you snack on ballpark fare, have a drink and network with your radio and television peers. We’ll have a few surprises for you too!
Following dinner we’ll conduct the NHAB Annual Meeting and transition into awarding those coveted Granite Mikes – recognizing the best in New Hampshire radio and television.
